Charles E. Kaler

Charles Kaler is a consultant with Education Executives, LLC. He focuses on the recruitment of senior academic leaders for institutions of higher education and academic medical centers across the United States and Canada. Charles works closely with colleges and universities to advise executive teams and boards about their most pressing leadership challenges.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Education Executives Charles spent more than eight years with another executive search firm. His executive search experience ranges across the academic leadership spectrum, including division and center directors, department chairs, deans, provosts and presidents for many pre-eminent research universities. Prior to his career in executive search, Charles, a registered patent agent, worked in legal functions for Brookhaven National Laboratory and Forest Laboratories in New York.

Education

Charles earned a BS in engineering sciences and a BA in philosophy from the University of Virginia, and holds a JD from the George Washington University Law School.

Personal

Charles lives in St. Paul, Minnesota with his spouse, daughter, and their two Spanish Water Dogs.
